Subsidized Community Housing
Reuth provides subsidized community housing to about 185 disadvantaged seniors in the Yad Eliyahu neighborhood of Tel Aviv, many of whom are Holocaust survivors and immigrants.
The community housing’s dedicated staff create a welcoming environment that provides a sense of security and belonging. In addition to receiving a comfortable place to live, our residents benefit from a variety of social services including one-on-one assistance from a social worker, enrichment classes, communal holiday celebrations, trips, help with apartment maintenance, and more.
Reuth also established an acute needs fund that helps finance dental care, medication, medical equipment (such as hearing aids), complementary medicinal treatments, and other essential services for those residents who are most in need. Even though the residents receive subsidies from governmental ministries and HMOs, some of them cannot afford even the smallest of copays without our assistance. This fund is financed entirely by donations.
A special committee, which includes the community housing director and the in-house social worker, recommends personalized support packages to address each individual’s specific needs.
