Daniel Gortler
Volunteer and son of Reuth Tel Aviv's patientWorld-famous pianist Daniel Gortler performed a moving volunteer concert for the staff and patients of Reuth in honor of the care his mother, Lily, received at the hospital. She was rehabilitated at Reuth following a stroke.
Daniel performed as a soloist with some of the world’s most important orchestras, including the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Houston Symphony. He also performed with all major orchestras in Israel, including the Israel Philharmonic.
At Reuth, he performed Mendelssohn’s “Songs Without Words” and Grieg’s “Lyric Pieces” in front of an excited audience.
Daniel says, “My mom had great difficulty with speech and comprehension, and limited function in her arm and leg. She improved greatly thanks to the staff of Reuth. Their level of care and professionalism couldn’t be higher. The doctors even made it possible to temporarily forget that we were inside a hospital.”
